Dennis Coard) a successful insurance broker in Melbourne, returns home to seaside Adelaide to stay with his brother Steve (
Frankie J Holden), a mechanic running the family garage. As they struggle to reconcile the "She'll be right" attitude with the "She won't be right" economic climate, Noel strikes up a close friendship with Steve's prize mechanic Gary (
Ben Mendelsohn in a standout performance), an awkward teenager having problems at work and with girlfriend Wendy (
Rachel Rains). Torn between the charm of his home town and the allure of the big city, Noel must now decide where his future lies.
