When King Ahasuerus (Richard Egan, The 300 Spartans), ruler of 127 provinces, returns from battle to banish his adulterous wife he staunchly sets out to find a new virgin bride to become his new queen and rule by his side.

Choosing from all the maidens in his kingdom, he is taken with the beautiful Jewess Esther (Joan Collins, Dynasty). But with hostility towards the Jewish people on the rise, Esther is forced to keep her faith a secret from the court and the king.

 

As power-hungry anti-Semite Haman's (Sergio Fantoni, Von Ryan's Express) conspiracies threaten to destroy the lives of Jewish people throughout the land, it is up to Esther to give up all that she has recently gained for the sake of her people, despite the risk that she herself may be the first to perish beside them.
