Thrilling action-adventure with a Sept 11-like plot line, Nighthawks stars Sylvester Stallone and Billy Dee Williams as hotshot cops employed to track down an evil terrorist (Rutger Hauer – Bladerunner) about to cause havoc in New York City. Stallone, in peak form at the twilight of the disco era, is a tough blue collar cop with a troubled personal life who is soon drawn into an international terrorist vendetta. A cat-and-mouse game ensues between Stallone and a ruthless Hauer and things get personal when the terrorist targets Stallone's wife (Lindsay Wagner- The Bionic Woman). The adrenaline-pumped action builds to a thrilling climax as the plot weaves through the streets, discos and subways of the Big Apple. Great suspense and top performances from an all-star cast makes Nighthawks one of Stallone’s best early films.
