Synopsis
An undisputed milestone in horror cinema, THE BIRD WITH THE CRYSTAL PLUMAGE announced the stunning debut of Italian Horror stylist, Dario Argento.
In Argento’s first giallo shocker, an American writer Sam Dalmas (Tony Musante) witnesses a stabbing in an art gallery by a sinister man in a raincoat and black leather gloves. Trapped between two glass doors, Sam is able to observe but unable to intervene as a beautiful wounded woman helplessly crawls across the floor.
Miraculously the woman survives, and the police announce that she is the first surviving victim of a notorious black-clad serial killer. Sam becomes obsessed with the case, and ignoring the warnings of a sinister voice on the telephone and several attempts on his life, sets out to catch the killer with the help of his girlfriend (Suzy Kendall).
