Synopsis
Following his notorious directorial debut, the infamous shocker The Last House On The Left (1972), and the success of his follow-up, the psychopathic The Hills Have Eyes (1977), director Wes Craven was already a cult star before Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) and Scream (1996) cemented his place as the worlds most renowned horror director. Presented together for the first time on DVD, here are Cravens early horror classics:
The Last House On The Left (1972) Cravens infamous film debut sees four deranged escaped cons kidnap, rape, torture and finally brutally murder a pair of teenage girls. After the killers take refuge in the home of one of the victims, the girl's parent's discover their heinous crime and plot violent retribution.
The Hills Have Eyes - Craven's scream-fest pushed the horror genre deep into unchartered territory - and along with "Night of The Living Dead" and "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" signalled the dawn of the golden age of horror through its realistic representation of horrific violence in the heartland of modern America.
The Hills Have Eyes 11 A potent update of the original tale of a family trapped among vicious, marauding inbred cannibals. Packed with shocking highlights from the original film (including an unbelievably bizarre canine flashback), a high body-count, and a suspenseful showdown between a helpless blind girl and a marauding machete-wielding maniac!
An American Nightmare - a celebration of Americas greatest horror directors including Craven, Tobe Hooper, George A. Romero and John Carpenter.
