Starring country legend Marty Robbins, this cult action film combines stock car racing, romance, adventure and music from the biggest country stars of the era. Robbins, a real-life car enthusiast and frequent competitor at the Nashville Speedway in his own car “Devil Women” (named after his hit record), plays a stock car driver who becomes embroiled in a love tryst with the girlfriend of his auto mechanic brother, Del (John Ashley). The jealous brother, a genius mechanic who helps Marty win the race of the season but who falls foul of the law for running moonshine, finally challenges Marty to a deadly showdown at the racetrack in the gripping grand finale. The 1967 production features legendary country act The Stonemans and country singer and Grand Ole Opry star Connie Smith alongside Marty as he sings a selection of his classic hits.
