In this classic '50s sci-fi thriller, cocky all-American test pilot Dan Prescott disobeys orders and flies an experimental rocket 250 miles above the earth, thus becoming the 'first man into space.' Way beyond radio contact, the jet is soon bombarded by cosmic debris and deadly gamma rays and crashes to the ground. When a search team locates the wreckage there’s no sign of the pilot and gruesome reports follow of mysterious vampire–like killings perpetrated by an indestructible dust-covered monster! With the deformed creature causing havoc around a rocket facility in New Mexico, the monster-pilot's brother is called in to track down the space beast before it kills again. B-grade sci-fi hokum at its unbelievable best.
