Synopsis

With hints of the genius to come in Dark Side Of The Moon, Meddle represented a sea change for the groundbreaking rock band, Pink Floyd. This compelling documentary focuses on the early history of Pink Floyd, tracking the band from their beginnings in Cambridge through the early successes of the Syd Barrett era, and the tumultuous period that followed Syd's departure before the eventual recording of the breakthrough album, Meddle.

In addition to rarely seen clips of the band performing, insightful commentary is provided by Norman Smith, a regular producer with Pink Floyd;Peter Banks, an early member of Yes, who weighs in with his memories of touring with the band; and Hugh Hopper, founding member of Soft Machine. Each give in-depth analysis of the writing and recording provess for the entire album, including the 23-minute epic, Echoes.
