Synopsis
Arguably the greatest actor of his generation, Jack Thompson, star of The Club, Sunday Too Far Away and Breaker Morant, remains a giant of Australian cinema, winning the 2005 Inside Film Awards Living Legend Award, and continuing to act in major motion pictures both in Hollywood and at home - from Star Wars Episode II to The Assassination of Richard Nixon and Oyster Farmer. Collected here for the first time on DVD are two of Jack Thompsons greatest moments in film and TV. Titles include:
Bad Blood (1980)
The true story of one of the greatest manhunts in history! Made the year he won an AFI Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor at Cannes for his role in Breaker Morant, Jack Thompson here he plays Stanley Graham, a farmer with financial problems who develops a persecution complex and starts to threaten his neighbours. In October 1941, Stan is finally driven over the edge and goes on a monstrous killing orgy. The following manhunt ends in Grahams capture, death, and ultimate legend. Special Features include an exclusive interview with Jack Thompson.
My Brother Jack (2001)
Based on George Johnston's classic novel and directed by Ken Cameron (Monkey Grip), My Bother Jack is the epic 2001 miniseries depicting the tragic lives of two brothers, David and Jack Meredith, between the Wars. David (Matt Day) lives on a Greek Island and is isolated from his emotional and physical past. Through reminiscence we witness the experiences of a young boy growing up in post war inner suburban Melbourne in a home torn by his father's violence and memories of war.
