Synopsis
From the boardroom to the bedroom the battle lines are drawn!
A wealthy toy manufacturer (Michael Pate) is having a mid-life crisis - his wife (Diane Cilento) is having an affair, his beautiful young mistress (Wendy Hughes) wants to get married, his drug-afflicted daughter (Sigrid Thornton) has attempted suicide, and his business is facing a take-over from a predatory American corporation. Adapted from the David Williamson play, this wry Australian comedy-drama from director Tim Burstall (Stork, Alvin Purple, Petersen) who worked with Williamson at Melbournes La Mama theatre in the late 1960s along with Jack Thompson and Judy Davis, and adapted four of the great writers plays into films - features a great cast, including a very young Sigrid Thornton (Sea Change), a witty script and excellent performances.
