Synopsis
This classic Australian suspense thriller centres on a deadly conspiracy surrounding British A-bomb tests around Maralinga in the early 1950s. Harvey Denton (Colin Friels) a young, successful cameraman who is estranged from his son and wife is oblivious to a Royal Commission into nuclear tests that killed contaminated thousands of Aboriginals - and will rapidly change his life. But he is soon drawn into the investigation after finding his father, an army photographer, compiled visual evidence of a military cover-up following the tests. Jack Thompson, a scheming ASIO agent, pressures Denton not to get involved; but an eccentric scientist (Donald Pleasance) spurs him on with stories of untold suffering from radiation disease, and the cameraman is soon embroiled in a sinister web of political deception, and murder.
