Synopsis
Jackie Mason, Borscht Belt comedian, second-generation rabbi, and one of the greats of stand-up comedy, entertains a capacity audience in the stunning surroundings of the Royal Opera House, London. The first comedian ever to be given the honour of playing in this distinguished venue, Jackie Mason brings the house down with an hour and a half of his hilarious, inimitable observations on life in the modern age. Delivered with a tough-talking vocal rhythm picked up from the streets of Brooklyn, Masons keenly-observed, and self-mocking social commentary - honed in the 60s on the Ed Sullivan show - is combined with acute caricatures of politicians like Tony Blair and Bill Clinton and well-directed barbs at political correctness. The first Jackie Mason DVD to be released in Australia, this is a stand-out performance from New York's irascible stand-up comic legend.
