Jeff Randall (Mike Pratt) and Marty Hopkirk (Kenneth Cope) are private investigators, but they're the most unusual team in the business. Jeff is the down-on-his-luck private eye, a tough yet honest man who achieves the impossible thanks to his improbable partner. Marty is the earth-bound ghost, murdered during a case for learning too much, but only one living person can see him - his partner Jeff. He can watch without being seen, transplant himself from one place to another at will & scare the living daylights out of villains. He is invisible to his widow Jean (Annette Andre), but watches over her with jealousy. Yet despite his powers, Marty is still very much human, bringing awkward situations upon his partner Jeff.
