Synopsis
After ranking as one of the world’s top female film stars and achieving dozens of hit records, Doris Day also conquered television with this joyful situation comedy that was the number one program in its timeslot between 1968 and 1973.
The fifth and final series sees Doris continue as a reporter for Today’s World magazine with editor Cy Bennett (John Dehner) and mischievous secretary Jackie Parker. Her love life is heating up with both Dr. Peter Lawrence (Peter Lawford) and political candidate Jonathan Rusk (Patrick O’Neal); while her home life is never dull thanks to fussy landlord, Mr. Jarvis. Among the stellar role of guest stars are Andy Griffith, Lee Meriwether, Ed Begley Jr., Julie Adams, Dick Van Patten and Bernie Kopell.
Season 5 contains all 24 remastered episodes from the 1972-73 season, plus a wealth of rare and new bonus features including an exclusive commentary from Doris herself.
