Synopsis
"Come ride the little train that is rolling down the track to the junction!"
The long-running TV classic, Petticoat Junction was one of the most successful and beloved sitcoms of the 1960s. Created by Paul Henning, the creative mastermind behind The Beverly Hillbillies, Petticoat Junction is set in the folksy farming community of Hooterville, and centres on Kate Bradley, a widow who runs the charming Shady Rest Hotel with the help of her three gorgeous young daughters: blonde, boy-crazy Billie Jo (Jeannine Riley); literary, intellectual Bobbie Jo (Pat Woodell); and redheaded tomboy Betty Jo (Linda Henning). Uncle Joe (Edgar Buchanan), the idle manager of the hotel, helps the girls through their various crises in the isolated Junction, which could only be reached via the Cannonball Express, run by the loveable Charley and Floyd.
This Collectors Set features 20 restored episodes complete with the original theme song from the show's first year. So "Forget about your cares, it is time to relax at the junction."
