Synopsis
In the 1970s cult film maker Roger Corman produced a series of highly successful "Woman In Prison" movies that hit paydirt on the drive-in circuits and launched the career of PAM GRIER (the star of Quentin Tarantinos "JACKIE BROWN").
They relied on a simple formula : there would be lots of shapely girls bursting out of their tight prison uniforms sweating it out in the tropics. The girls would do field work, take showers, and be frequently tortured before breaking out with guns blazing!
Kidnapped by Roman soldiers, a voluptuous Nubian slave (Pam Grier) and a Druid high princess (Margaret Markov) battle for their lives in The Arena attempting to beat their Roman oppressors at their own game.
