Synopsis

Directed by Oscar-winner George Roy Hill (The Sting, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid), and winner of the Jury Prize in Cannes in 1972, Umbrella is proud to present the definitive film adaptation of Kurt Vonnegut Jr.’s classic novel. Billy Pilgrim (Michael Sacks) has a problem with time and keeps jumping between three key scenes in his life. The “present” is a sedate suburban bliss involving a dutiful wife, large house, and presidency of the local Lions club; the “past” is being a prisoner of World War 11 and experiencing the shocking firebombing of Dresden from the wrong side; the "future" takes place in a glass dome on the planet Tralfamadore, to which Billy has been mysteriously spirited along with the woman of his fantasies (porn-star Montana Wildhack, played by the gorgeous Valerie Perrine). Kurt Vonnegut Jr.’s anguished yet humorous cry on the insanity of war is masterfully adapted to the screen in this American film classic.
