Synopsis

With a remarkable career spanning 60 years, Michael Crawford has confirmed his place as one of the most admired performers and vocalists of stage and screen. Winner of numerous awards for contributions to television, film and the stage - from London’s West End to New York’s Broadway, Crawford’s impressive body of work is undeniable. In October 1993 he was interviewed for Channel 9 by Ray Martin in front of a live studio audience for a special program detailing his sensational rise to fame, from comic pratfalls in the classic 70s TV series Some Mothers Do Have ‘Em through to his international success in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s blockbuster musical Phantom of The Opera. Entertaining anecdotes about his career and discussing his hit album A Touch of Music In The Night, the program also features performances of songs such as 'Stormy Weather', 'The Power of Love' and the haunting 'Since You Stayed Here'.
