From her auspicious debut in 1959 at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, through to triumphs at La Scala in Milan, the Paris Opera, the Met in New York and many other citadels of music, Dame Joan Sutherland’s supreme reputation as a coloratura soprano is richly celebrated in this rarely seen live presentation from the Australian television archives.
