After performing abroad for several years and establishing an impressive international career with The Merry Widow, celebrated chanteuse June Bronhill was invited to perform on the popular Australian television event The BP Super Show in 1961.
Hosted by musician and entertainer Horrie Dargie, the one and only ‘Lady from Broken Hill’delivers a delightful set of songs including Richard Rogers’ ‘Spring is Here’, Dvorâk’s ‘Songs My Mother Taught Me’ and the exquisite Aria from ‘La Traviata’. Featuring a lively ballet/dance performance by the GTV9 Ballet, also included is Arthur Young’s seasonal tune ‘Christmas in the Bush’ featuring Horrie Dargie on harmonica and June Bronhill on vocals.
